WXDU's Mission
WXDU, as a member of the Duke University Union, exists to inform, educate, and entertain both the students of Duke University and the surrounding community of Durham through quality progressive alternative radio programming. WXDU seeks to give its staff the freedom to pursue their personal aesthetic within the framework of a cohesive format. WXDU aims to provide the listener with an alternative viewpoint untainted by commercial interests. WXDU resolves to maintain good relations with the music industry without compromising its integrity and nationally recognized commitment to quality programming. WXDU resolves to remain a laboratory where all members are free to make and learn from their mistakes.

Pass Giveaways This Week for Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival

Listen to WXDU April 6 - 10 for the chance to win day-passes to the Spring 2015 Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance. The festival will be held April 16-19 in Pittsboro, NC. Ticket Giveaway for Sagan Youth performance at Morehead Planetarium

WXDU will offer a ticket giveaway this week to the Sagan Youth performance. On April 2, Sagan Youth will perform their upcoming science-fiction concept album Cela at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.

 

Suckfest Ticket Giveaways This Week (Oct. 19-26)

 

Suckfest, a two-day Greensboro, NC music festival, will be held at The Blind Tiger, November 7-8. Be sure to listen to WXDU this week for your chance to win tickets.

Bands for the Friday, Nov. 7 show include: Dope Body, Designer, Junior Astronomers, Roomrunner, Whatever Brains, Dumpster, Flesh Wounds, Wymyns Prysyn, Space Bear, Teen Death, Fever Dream and Black Santa.

Saturday, Nov. 8 bands are: Cop Problem, Priapus, Lesser Life, Born Hollow, Holder's Scar, Distrust, Yautja, Irata, Empire, Hawks, Gut Feeling, Rulebreaker, Future Primitive, Damn Frank and Totally Slow.
