WXDU's Mission
WXDU, as a member of the Duke University Union, exists to inform, educate, and entertain both the students of Duke University and the surrounding community of Durham through quality progressive alternative radio programming. WXDU seeks to give its staff the freedom to pursue their personal aesthetic within the framework of a cohesive format. WXDU aims to provide the listener with an alternative viewpoint untainted by commercial interests. WXDU resolves to maintain good relations with the music industry without compromising its integrity and nationally recognized commitment to quality programming. WXDU resolves to remain a laboratory where all members are free to make and learn from their mistakes.

WXDU News, Sports and Information

Tune in every Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 for a rotating schedule of great news, sports, discussion and informative programming.

On the first and third Sunday of each month we've got:
     -6:00: The Endless Frontier, with a look at the latest in science news plus interviews with leading researchers
     -6:30: WXDU News, covering local, national and global perspectives
     -7:00: WXDU Sports, with highlights of college (including Duke and NCCU) sports, plus a look at national play

The second Sunday of the month has:
     -6:00: Jukebox Graduates, a show produced by students in the Githens Middle School Bruce Springsteen Fan Club
     -7:00: Goodnight Gracie, a program that revisits the Golden Age of Radio

On the roster for the last Sunday each month:
     -6:00: Hip Hop Historics with DJ Goatt, which focuses on some of hip hop's biggest players' influences--and influence
     -7:00: I Liked You Better Before You Sold Out, featuring interviews with local bands and artists

And for those months with a bonus Sunday, catch more compelling interviews and documentaries on the fourth Sunday.
