NOW PLAYING:

WXDU News, Sports, and Information Tonight (11/1) 6:00-8:00

Tune in at 6:00 tonight for this week's episode of The Endless Frontier, WXDU's own science news and discussion program.

Then at 6:30, catch BackStory with the American History Guys for a post-Halloween profile of our supernatural history in "American Spirit: A History of the Supernatural." In this episode, the guys take a look at how belief in ghosts, witches and spirits shaped our nation's past, including the origins of early colonists' fear of witches, the 19th-century progressive social reform's link to spiritualism and the role technology has played in supernatural discussion.

Finally at 7:30 tonight, stay tuned for WXDU Sports. On tonight's show, Martin Kang will have the latest on the Duke women's soccer squad's regular season wrap-up with today's at-home match against NC State. Then, Finian St. Omer will recap the Blue Devils' football loss yesterday, including Miami's bizarre last-second winning play. Plus, Angelo Moreno brings us post-game analysis and comments from coaches and players from Friday's pre-season basketball faceoff between the Duke men and last year's NCAA Division II champions, Florida Southern. Finally, Martin will finish things off with a pre-season profile of the Duke women's basketball team ahead of Thursday's exhibition match against Pfeiffer with comments from Head Coach Joanne P McCallie and graduate student Amber Henson and a report on the final regular season games in Duke field hockey and in men’s soccer.
